Southwestern Ukraine | August 4-14, 2026
This adult team will travel to southwestern Ukraine, at the base of the Carpathian Mountains, to Camp Willow Park where they will be partnering with the Mission 823 Ukrainian team to support their program tailored to the needs of at-risk and traumatized children up to 18 years of age by providing a place for healing for kids affected by abuse, neglect, exploitation, war, homelessness, or fatherlessness. Their top priority is creating a safe, peaceful environment where these children can enjoy being children again and participate in specially crafted activities that enhance focus, concentration, and problem solving, and relax, heal, learn, relieve stress, and embark on adventures like equine therapy, swimming in the lake or the pool, hikes to beautiful nature spots like waterfalls, play games, make new friends, and explore Christ-centered spirituality and personal growth.

TRIP PHYSICALITY
Level 3 – Moderate to Strenuous. Expectation: Moderate to heavy amounts of walking, often on uneven terrain, potentially moderate work projects, and hot climate.
TRAVEL TIME
About 15 hours flight time each way flight including layovers, longest flight leg is 7-1/2 hrs. Plus around 6 hours drive time to get to final destination.
REQUIREMENTS
- 18+ years old.
- Completion of Growth Track classes at least 3 months before departure
- Attendance at mandatory preparation meetings leading up to trip
- Background checks
- Passport with at least 6 months validity past return date (returning August 14th so passport must be valid until at least February 15, 2027)
- Interest does not automatically reserve a spot on the team. All interested will be contacted to review requirements and advised of the registration link and deadlines. Registrations will be reviewed and the team leader will contact participants with next steps.
TRIP COSTS
Airfare, ground transportation, food, accommodations, and emergency group insurance are included in the cost of the trip.
WHAT IS NOT COVERED: Trip interruption insurance is not provided, but you may purchase a separate policy. Should you unexpectedly be unable to go on the trip for any reason prior to the trip departure or must return home early, you may want to consider purchasing this insurance. Passport application, photographs, or renewal fees, not included. Incidental expenses such as souvenirs and personal need purchases, not included.
